Klein Lake Campground

Klein Lake News (as of May 23, 2020)

Overnight camping will be permitted at Klein Lake beginning June 1, 2020. There will be a mandated maximum of six persons per campsite.  All six must be from the same household.  There will be no “ double bunking” (large group inhabiting two adjacent campsites) as this activity does not meet social distancing guidelines. We sincerely hope that visitors will take personal responsibility for their own safety while remembering that we are here to help if we can.  Please remember to bring a plastic table covering to use during your visit that you will then take with you when you leave (this is for your own safety and the safety of others).

Campsites are $15.00 per night and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.  The gate closes at 10:00 pm. every evening.  Enjoy your visit!

Information pertaining to the RSTBC reopening can be found online at https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/sports-culture/recreation/camping-hiking/sites-trails/alerts

The Egmont Community Club takes care of the Klein Lake Campground in conjunction with BC Parks.  We are no longer partnering with The Sunshine Coast Regional District on matters of the park as of 2019 but we are striving to continue to provide the same exceptional service as visitors have come to expect.

CAMPGROUND NEWS:
Your safety and well being is, and always will be, our primary concern (but your absolute enjoyment of our beautiful provincial park comes in a close second!).  We will keep you informed as we receive updates about when the campground will open/close.  The questionnaire below is one tool we can use to make your visit and any future stays the best time possible for both parties.

QUESTIONNAIRE
Recreation Sites & Trails BC is conducting a survey based on your experience at Klein Lake ... Please feel free to copy and paste the text and questions onto your own device and send along your answers to the survey to [email protected]  Or send the answers (with the corresponding question numbers noted) using the contact feature on our main page at this site.  We certainly hope you had a great stay AND we are sincerely interested in hearing where we can improve.

Here is the official questionnaire from our Provincial Government:

June 12, 2019

Hello, Welcome to the Klein Lake Recreation Site. This site is maintained by the Egmont Community Club under agreement with Recreation Sites and Trail BC (RSTBC), to provide overnight camping and the use of beautiful Klein Lake.  RSTBC is looking into making some investments into this site over the course of the next years. In particular we are looking to upgrade and change the current dock facilities provided at this site, as well as some upgrades to the number of campsites, and our very special turtle nesting areas. We are very interested in hearing what our current users (you!) would like to see changed or upgraded on this site. Therefore we are asking for your ideas. I hope you will be able to make some time during your stay (or afterward) to answer the questions on this page.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer our questions, and I am looking forward to receiving your input into our proposed project.

Robert van der Zalm RPF
